Newington's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Middletown Blue Dragons with a sharp 15-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Nor'easters in their matchups with the Blue Dragons: they've now won three in a row.

Aniyah Ross was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Greaves, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Newington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Newington's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Middletown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newington will welcome New Britain at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Middletown, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Southington at 10:00 a.m.
