Valdez entered their tilt with Colony on Friday with 13 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 14. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Knights. The Buccaneers were shut out 1-0 the last time they took on the Knights, so the Buccaneers were just returning the favor.

Valdez's victory bumped their record up to 32-7. As for Colony, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-11 record this season.

Valdez wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Mt. Edgecumbe on the 10th. As for Colony, they will head out to challenge Mountain City Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
