Basketball Recap: Galva Skates Past Wethersfield with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Galva on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Wethersfield Flying Geese out of the water with a 77-45 final score. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

Leading Galva to victory were MJ Louck and Blake Stahl. Louck went 14-for-20 to rack up 33 points and six steals, while Stahl shot 5-for-9 from deep and dropped a double-double with 32 points and ten rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Stahl now owns an excellent 45.7% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was JP Sloan, who posted nine points and five assists.

Galva smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.

Galva pushed their record up to 20-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.0 points over those games. As for Wethersfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season.
