Basketball Recap: Garrett Comes Up Short

Garrett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Bellmont Braves, falling 61-23. While losing is never fun, the Railroaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while the Braves are ranked 18th).

Garrett's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Bellmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garrett has already played their next match (against West Noble), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bellmont has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Huntington North.
