Portland Christian came tearing into Saturday's matchup with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 13-6 margin over the Burgin Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 18 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Portland Christian's win bumped their record up to 20-11. As for Burgin, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Coincidentally, Portland Christian and Burgin will both be playing Powell County the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Pirates at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
