Soccer Game Preview: Palmetto vs. Spanish River

The Palmetto Panthers will take on the Spanish River Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmetto will be strutting in after a victory while Spanish River will be coming in after a defeat.

Palmetto is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Coral Reef a 3-0 shutout. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by three goals or more this season.

Raya Kempler and Lila Goldhaber scored all three of Palmetto's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Spanish River's offense. They fell just short of Stoneman Douglas by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday.

Palmetto has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those nine contests. As for Spanish River, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3-3.
