Baseball Recap: Sebring Falls Short of River Ridge in the Playoffs

Sebring and River Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Sebring had to settle for second. They came up short against the Royal Knights, falling 9-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Blue Streaks have suffered since March 22nd.

Ricky Perez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Sebring has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-7 record this season. As for River Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: River Ridge beat Sebring by a score of 3-1 later that day.
