Basketball Recap: Brevard HEAT's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Brevard HEAT had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past the Burns Sci-Tech Eagles with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 66-52. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-56 back in December of 2024.

Leading Brevard HEAT to victory were Riley Ellis and Elias Ojala. Ellis went 7 of 16 on his way to 19 points, while Ojala almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Roberto Cosa, who posted nine points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Brevard HEAT's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Burns Sci-Tech, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.
