League recap: Tarbut V'torah surges thanks to one league win last week

San Joaquin league recap: 3/27/13

Tarbut V'torah racked up the most wins in San Joaquin this week, totaling one win to lead the league. The Lions beat Fairmont Prep 14-7.

Luis Duran was the hottest hitter in the league this week, racking up a .333 average, one home run and three RBIs. The Eagles compiled a record of 1-1 in that time.

The Huskies' pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only three hits and five walks, both of which led the league.

The league boasted ten .400 hitters over the past week. Leading the pack was Nathan Oh, who hit 1.000 by going 5-for-5.

Dylan Baird was an RBI machine on Tuesday, as he knocked in four runs during Capistrano Valley Christian's 20-0 win over Fairmont Prep. He went 1-for-1 and scored one run.



Aaron Anast struck out ten in the Eagles' 20-0 win over the Huskies on March 19.
