            Wheatmore lost against Eastern Randolph back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Wheatmore Warriors came up short against  the Eastern Randolph Wildcats, falling  87-62. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  51-29.

Wheatmore lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Weston Driggers, who  went 7 for 13  to rack up 14  points along with six  assists and five  boards. The dominant performance gave  Driggers a new career-high in  assists. Another player making a difference was  Parker Kines, who  went 7 of 12  on his way to 18 points and five  rebounds.
 Driggers wasn't the only one working in the  assist department: Wheatmore was working as a unit and  finished the game with 24  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eastern Randolph to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Timothy Brower, who  dropped  a double-double on 23  points and ten  boards. Brower is  on a roll when it comes to points, as he's  now  scored 19 or more in the last nine games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Camden Jones, who  went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 27  points.
This is the second loss in a row for Wheatmore and  nudges their season record down to 8-12. Their recent woes sure aren't a result of their performance when it comes to  three-point shooting accuracy: their  three-point shooting accuracy was 35.9% in those games and 28.9% outside of them. As for Eastern Randolph,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 9-6.
 Wheatmore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  51-46  loss against West Davidson on the 5th. As for Eastern Randolph, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  an  83-73  defeat against Lexington on the 1st.
