Basketball Recap: Beatty Comes Up Short

Beatty lost against Pershing County back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Beatty Hornets took a blow against the Pershing County Mustangs, falling 63-9.

Pershing County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Efrain Aceves led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. That's the most points Aceves has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Michael Reitz, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Beatty's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pershing County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Beatty didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-24 loss against Mineral County on the 6th. As for Pershing County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 52-39 defeat against South Tahoe on the 6th.
