The Salpointe Catholic Lancers will be playing at home against the Williams Field Black Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Salpointe Catholic's favor as the squad sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Williams Field has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
With a playoff game on the line, Salpointe Catholic rose to the challenge on Thursday. They blew past Corona del Sol 41-0 at home. Salpointe Catholic might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by 21 points or more this season.
Salpointe Catholic relied on the efforts of Mathew Avelar, who rushed for six yards and two touchdowns, and Morgan Quiri, who picked up 120 receiving yards and a touchdown. Orlando Gonzalez made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Meanwhile, Williams Field put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 35-6 win over Boulder Creek.
Their wins bumped Salpointe Catholic to 9-2 and Williams Field to 6-5.
