The Polson Pirates made easy work of the Troy Trojans on Saturday and carried off a 17-4 win. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Cole Wadsworth, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those RBI were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Shoemake, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Polson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Troy only managed four hits.

Polson's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.4 runs over those games. As for Troy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
