The Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos will face off against the Seeger Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lafayette Jefferson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
While Lafayette Jefferson's win against Richmond wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bronchos skirted past the Red Devils 7-5. The victory was familiar territory for the Bronchos, who have now won three games in a row.

Sayler Teal made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Teal was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rilee Clifton, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 11 matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Seeger and Parke Heritage, and Seeger kept the tradition alive. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 21-8 margin over the Wolves on Saturday.
Kaylyn Wheeler was incredible, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Kalli Peterson was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Seeger always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Seeger has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-14 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Lafayette Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
Seeger's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lafayette Jefferson has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Seeger, though, as they've been averaging 9.2 hits. Given Lafayette Jefferson's sizable advantage in that area, the Patriots will need to find a way to close that gap.
Lafayette Jefferson skirted past Seeger 9-8 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Bronchos repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
