Neuse Charter kept up with Research Triangle until halftime on Friday, but afterwards: not so much. The Raptors' defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 3-0 shutout. Research Triangle might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by three goals or more this season.

Matias Camacho and Cameron Greenbaum scored all three of Research Triangle's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Research Triangle has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-3 record this season. As for Neuse Charter, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Research Triangle is set to take on their familiar foe Voyager Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Neuse Charter will challenge rival Triangle Math & Science at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
