Basketball Recap: Science Park Wins Going Away Against American History

Science Park won the last time they faced American History and things went their way on Friday too. The Science Park Chargers enjoyed a cozy 44-29 victory over the American History Eagles. The Chargers pushed the score to 38-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, American History still got an impressive performance from Erica Lawson, who posted 18 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Those 18 points gave Lawson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ashiyah Holliman, who had four points and ten boards.

Science Park's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for American History, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Science Park will be playing at home against Irvington at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. American History has already played their next contest, a 32-20 victory against Ferris on the 18th.
