Basketball Recap: Gibbs Comes Up Short

Gibbs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 75-24 defeat at the hands of the Tampa Catholic Crusaders. The Gladiators were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-11.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tampa Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ashley Knox, who posted 20 points. Another player making a difference was Jayla Grimsley, who had 16 points.

Gibbs' loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Tampa Catholic, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gibbs will face off against Wesley Chapel at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tampa Catholic, they will take on Leesburg at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
