Basketball Recap: Bunn Beats Franklinton for Their Third Straight Win + How To Watch

Bunn proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 27) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Franklinton Red Rams 76-73. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wildcats have posted since December 11, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bunn to victory, but perhaps none more so than DJ Smith, who shot 47% from the field en route to 23 points and six steals. That's the most steals Smith has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Bailey, who went 7-for-13 on his way to 21 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

The victory was the third in a row for Bunn, bringing their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 64.0 points this season. As for Franklinton, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Bunn won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wake Forest at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Franklinton, they will host Middle Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
