Basketball Recap: Lilly Rumrill's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mooresville over South Iredell

Mooresville was the 59-56 winner over South Iredell when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Mooresville Blue Devils took a 48-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Iredell Vikings.

Mooresville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lilly Rumrill, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Cadence Lane, who scored 12 points.

Mooresville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for South Iredell, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mooresville will square off against West Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Iredell, they will face off against A.L. Brown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Iredell is facing A.L. Brown at the right time seeing as A.L. Brown is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
