Carmel is 9-1 against St. Patrick since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Corsairs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Shamrocks at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Carmel is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 15-7 margin over Nazareth Academy on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Corsairs, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but St. Patrick ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They skirted past Marian Catholic 6-5. The victory was nothing new for the Shamrocks as they're now sitting on six straight.

St. Patrick pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Carmel, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Carmel took their win against St. Patrick when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-3 score. Will the Corsairs repeat their success, or do the Shamrocks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
