Baseball Recap: Lee Park Prep Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Lee Park Prep lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Sheets Memorial Christian, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Knights put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 7-1 win on Monday. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 9-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lee Park Prep let Isaiah Carpenter and Isaac Watkins run wild. Carpenter got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Watkins went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most RBI Watkins has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of James Steele, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Lee Park Prep's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-10. As for Sheets Memorial Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
