Softball Recap: Carroll's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Carroll came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Tri-Central Trojans as they made off with a 7-0 win. Considering the Cougars have won ten contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Bree Hoke was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ellie Perry, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI.

Carroll hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tri-Central struck out eight times.

Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Tri-Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.

Carroll didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-6 defeat against Clinton Prairie on the 20th. As for Tri-Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-5 loss against Eastern on the 20th.
