Recap: River View Raiders vs. Greenbrier West Cavaliers
The River View Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Greenbrier West and snuck past 95-92. The win was just what River View needed coming off of a 80-52 defeat in their prior contest.
River View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abigail Pruitt led the charge by dropping a double-double on 37 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pruitt has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chasity Kennedy, who shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 34 points and 12 rebounds.
River View has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. As for Greenbrier West, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.
River View is on the road again on Wednesday and plays Gilmer County at 1:00 p.m. on March 6th. Hopefully River View focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. Greenbrier West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
