Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Alexander Lloyd and Alex Constanza Lead Westminster Academy to Victory

Westminster Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Pine Bluff on Monday. The Westminster Academy Lions wrapped up 2024 with a 74-57 victory over the Pine Bluff Zebras. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Westminster Academy was led to victory by Alex Constanza and Alexander Lloyd. Constanza dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards, while Lloyd went 10 of 22 on his way to 28 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Constanza has scored at least a third of Westminster Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dwight Gaines Jr., who posted five points in addition to six assists and four steals.

Westminster Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Westminster Academy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Pine Bluff, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Westminster Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Southeastern Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pine Bluff, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on White Hall at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th.
