Basketball Recap: Ira Comes Up Short

Ira was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hermleigh Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 664th, while the Cardinals are ranked 184th).

Ira's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Hermleigh, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season.

Ira has already played their next matchup (against XDOT Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hermleigh has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Highland.
