Baseball Recap: Niskayuna Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Niskayuna couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Ballston Spa Scotties by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Scotties this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-3 loss on Monday.

This is the second loss in a row for Niskayuna and nudges their season record down to 17-8. As for Ballston Spa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Niskayuna does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ballston Spa, they will face off against West Genesee at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Scotties surely won't give up without a fight.
