Baseball Recap: Colbert Beats Wilson for Their 13th Straight Victory

Colbert came tearing into Monday's contest with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wilson Eagles an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Leopards, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Colbert's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Wilson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.
