Pike County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They fell 55-45 to the Westside Seminoles. The game was a 25-25 toss-up at halftime, but the Pirates couldn't quite close it out.

Nazarious McDowell and Yadi Rosado certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. McDowell went 6 of 15 on his way to 18 points and three steals, while Rosado dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Rosado has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Bryce Sammons was another key player, putting up seven points.

Joshua Harden was his usual excellent self, going 9 for 19 en route to 24 points and eight boards for Westside. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Little, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds.

Pike County's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Westside, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Westside beat Pike County by a score of 67-39 on Wednesday.
