Recap: Midd-West Mustangs vs. Montoursville Warriors
The Midd-West Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Montoursville. Midd-West has not had much luck with Montoursville recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Midd-West's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Noah Romig, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and five assists, and Garrett Leitzel who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Leitzel has scored all season. Brandon Ferster was another key contributor, scoring three points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Montoursville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryce Eberhart, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Ranck, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Midd-West's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Montoursville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Midd-West will head out on the road to challenge Lewisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Montoursville, they will be playing at home against Mifflinburg at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Mifflinburg is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
