Football Preview: Antioch Bears vs. Collierville Dragons
The Antioch Bears will square off against the Collierville Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Antioch is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Shelbyville Central 42-13. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 141st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Andre Adams had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 323 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 83 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. His passing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 323 passing yards. Another player making a difference was Brandon Goliday, who picked up 153 receiving yards and one score.
Meanwhile, while Collierville put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for White Station. The Dragons claimed a resounding 56-0 win over the Spartans. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won six in a row.
Collierville's win came from a few key players Antioch will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Autry, Lawrence, who rushed for 110 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Collierville is 7-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Tae Walden Jr was another key player, picking up 119 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Collierville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Walden Jr, Shaw London, and Braylon Warren picked up one apiece.
