Softball Recap: Patrick Henry Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Steele Canyon, Patrick Henry was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Torrey Pines Falcons by a score of 6-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2025.

Ashlynn Kirchoff tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Whitley Swain, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Adeline McDonald was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Patrick Henry's record now sits at 7-8-1. As for Torrey Pines, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1.

Patrick Henry and Torrey Pines will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Patriots will face off against rival Cathedral Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Torrey Pines is set to square off against their familiar foe Sage Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
