Hays entered their tilt with Johnson City on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Eagles. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Olivia Conway was the offensive standout of the game as she had ten digs and five aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August of 2024.

Conway wasn't the only good server: Hays was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in six consecutive contests.

Hays' win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Johnson City, they moved to 9-6 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Hays has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Aubrey on the 23rd. As for Johnson City, they will be playing at home against Burnet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
