Softball Recap: Tipton-Rosemark Academy Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Tipton-Rosemark Academy and St. Benedict at Auburndale, and St. Benedict at Auburndale kept the tradition alive. The Rebels took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent loss being a 14-4 defeat two weeks ago.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-17-1 record this season. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, they pushed their record up to 25-5 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy has already played their next contest (against Briarcrest Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Benedict at Auburndale will be paying especially close attention to the Rebels' game: after the Rebels face off against the Saints, they'll take on St. Benedict at Auburndale again at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
