Basketball Game Preview: South Effingham Mustangs vs. Evans Knights

South Effingham hasn't had much luck against Evans recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the South Effingham Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Evans Knights at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in South Effingham's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.

South Effingham will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Glynn Academy, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. South Effingham had just enough and edged Glynn Academy out 63-61. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Terrors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Evans came up short against Lakeside on Thursday and fell 69-61.

Evans' loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for South Effingham, their victory bumped their record up to 8-16.

South Effingham was taken down by Evans 88-47 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point South Effingham was down 51-31.
