Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Santiago Bizzell and Xavier Harris Lead Bacon County to Victory

Bacon County entered their tilt with Worth County on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Worth County Rams by a score of 73-61.

Bacon County was led to victory by Xavier Harris and Santiago Bizzell. Harris dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 boards, while Bizzell dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten assists. Bizzell's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Theron Moore, who went 5 for 8 en route to 12 points and five rebounds.

Bacon County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.

The win got Bacon County back to even at 8-8. As for Worth County, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-8 record.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Brantley County the next time they take the court. Worth County will head out to face Brantley County at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Bacon County will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
