Football Recap: Narbonne Comes Up Short

Narbonne had lost four straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-9 to make it five. They were beaten by the Carson Colts 50-0. The Gauchos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colts apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

As for Carson, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.7 points over those games.

Chris Fields iii was his usual excellent self, throwing for 200 yards and six touchdowns on only 12 passes. Those six passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Narbonne will venture away from home to challenge Banning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Gauchos will be up against the Pilots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Carson, they are taking a road trip to face off against San Pedro at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Colts will need to watch out since the Pirates have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
