Softball Recap: Wesleyan Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Charlotte Country Day School

Wesleyan Christian Academy hadn't beaten Charlotte Country Day School on the road since March 15, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. Wesleyan Christian Academy put the hurt on Charlotte Country Day School with a sharp 11-1 win. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.

Maris Morgan made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with four RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Alexis Emery was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Allison Cheek, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.

Wesleyan Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Wesleyan Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. Charlotte Country Day School has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
