Soccer Game Preview: Hilo vs. Konawaena

Hilo has gone a perfect 8-0 against Konawaena recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.

Hilo is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Honoka'a on Friday. The Vikings and the Dragons finished up their match with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Konawaena didn't have quite enough to beat Kealakehe last Thursday and fell 3-2.

With that draw, Hilo's record moves to 1-1-1. As for Konawaena, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Hilo's way against Konawaena when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Hilo made off with an 8-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
