Churchill County had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Pahrump Valley Trojans onto the board and left with a 5-0 win on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for Churchill County as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Vernita Fillmore made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Fillmore has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in six consecutive pitching appearances.
