Basketball Recap: Millsap Comes Up Short

Millsap lost against Eastland back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Millsap Bulldogs fell 39-27 to the Eastland Mavericks.

Despite the loss, Millsap still got an impressive performance from Kaleigh Wooldridge, who posted three points in addition to 12 steals and six boards. Wooldridge has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 23 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cori Ground, who had eight points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Millsap smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Millsap's record now sits at 7-24. As for Eastland, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-14 record this season.

Millsap does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastland, they will face off against City View at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Eastland comes in on five and City View on eight.
