Baseball Recap: Bauxite Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Bauxite, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Bismarck Lions on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Miners, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bauxite saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Kelley, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Tony Fox was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Bauxite hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Bauxite now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bismarck, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Bauxite will head out to square off against Pulaski Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bauxite is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season. As for Bismarck, they will square off against Dierks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bismarck is facing Dierks at the right time seeing as Dierks is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
