Prout and Chariho are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Crusaders will host the Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Prout is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Prout is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: South Kingstown, who was ranked 25th at the time (Prout was ranked tenth). The Crusaders put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 12-1 win on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Prout got a massive performance out of Emma Manzo, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Boyajian, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Prout always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Chariho's offense. They fell 3-0 to Cranston West on Friday. The Chargers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Chariho's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Prout, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Prout hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Chariho struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Prout came out on top in a nail-biter against Chariho in their previous meeting back in June of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
