Basketball Game Preview: Scholars Guild Academy Spartans vs. Providence Classical Christian Warriors

Having just played yesterday, the Scholars Guild Academy Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Providence Classical Christian Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Scholars Guild Academy is looking for their season's first victory.

Scholars Guild Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were dealt a 77-37 loss at the hands of Genesis Academy on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Providence Classical Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 64-60 to Community Christian.

Scholars Guild Academy will have to keep a close watch on Tate Moorcroft and Fabian Priestley, a pair of players who had a big impact on Providence Classical Christian's prior game. Moorcroft posted 20 points, while Priestley had 17 points. Another player making a difference was Henry Ferguson, who scored eight points.

Providence Classical Christian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Scholars Guild Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Scholars Guild Academy was taken down by Providence Classical Christian 61-31 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Spartans were down 32-12.
