Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Titans vs. Bethel Christian Kings

You can't lose the match if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Notre Dame Titans's strategy against the Bethel Christian Kings on Saturday. Everything went Notre Dame's way against the Kings as the Titans made off with a 76-51 win. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 21 to 5 on the offensive boards, as Notre Dame did.

Caiden Broughton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 20 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Yirmeyah Michel, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds.

Bethel Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordyn Frazier-Mathews, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Frazier-Mathews has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Coba, who scored 16 points.

Notre Dame's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Bethel Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.

Notre Dame's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th. As for Bethel Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
