Baseball Recap: Prattville Wins Going Away Against Ramsay

Prattville's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Ramsay Rams. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Lions' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Paxton Genola was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Mason Piper also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Prattville's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Ramsay, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Prattville Lions take on Hartselle Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ramsay, they will venture away from home to challenge Saraland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
