Basketball Recap: Pittsville's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Pittsville entered their tilt with Almond-Bancroft on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Almond-Bancroft Eagles by a score of 61-54. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Eagles back in December of 2024, they had to take a 44-30 defeat.

Pittsville has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Almond-Bancroft, their loss dropped their record down to 13-3.

Pittsville will be playing at home against Auburndale at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Almond-Bancroft has already played their next game (against Gresham Community), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
