Volleyball Recap: Valerie Yambao Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Dr. Phillips + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Timber Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Dr. Phillips Panthers 3-0 on Thursday. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Timber Creek walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-18.

Timber Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Valerie Yambao out in front who had 20 assists and four aces. Yambao is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jayda Villada, who had 15 digs and three aces.

Timber Creek's record is now 12-7. As for Dr. Phillips, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Timber Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Freedom on the 29th. As for Dr. Phillips, they will venture away from home to face off against Foundation Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
