Football Recap: Kennedy Comes Up Short

The Kennedy Cougars came up short against the Rio Linda Knights on Thursday and fell 20-13.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Rio Linda, they pushed their record up to 2-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will take on Lodi at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Flames' defense has only allowed 6.2 points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Rio Linda, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Christian Brothers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
