Basketball Recap: Macarthur Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

MacArthur proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 20) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged the Southwest Legacy Titans out 50-48. This was a revenge game for the Brahmas: when they faced off against the Titans back in December of 2024, they had to take a 67-59 defeat.

Despite the loss, Southwest Legacy still got an impressive performance from Giovanni Aranda, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 boards. Aranda's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jordan Rodriguez was another key player, putting up six points and five steals.

MacArthur's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-17. As for Southwest Legacy, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 11-16.

MacArthur will face off against McCollum at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. MacArthur is facing McCollum at the right time seeing as McCollum is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Southwest Legacy, they will challenge Harlandale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest Legacy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.7 points per game this season.
