It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Hickory ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Slippery Rock Rockets 4-3. The win was nothing new for Hickory as they're now sitting on five straight.

Hickory's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Slippery Rock, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Hickory will take on Conneaut Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hickory will be up against Conneaut Area's rather soft defense (which has allowed six goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Slippery Rock, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Greenville on the 17th.
